ZRX Battery "Out" Kit for K&N Pod users

NOTE: This item and the Storage Tray for pod users (Stock # PODTRY) are an "either or" selection. Meaning one or the other is used. The two items are not used together.

You must be running individual air filters (pods) and have the airbox completely removed to use this kit.

The purpose of this mod is to greatly increase the under-seat storage area by lifting the battery out of it's stock location and placing it on top of the rear part of the motor. The battery leads are more than long enough to accommodate this move. In order to do this a 6x1.5 inch notch must be cut into the plastic front edge of the storage area. This is the only modification that must be done to the bike.

Two of the crankcase breather cover mounting holes are used at the front, and four small screws tie it to the plastic at the rear. Nylon spacers are used to quell vibrations and lift the battery about 3/16ths off the crankcase breather cover.

The part is made of light gauge aluminum. All hardware, foam rubber to isolate battery, rubber edge trim to prevent wire chaffing and instructions are provided. Finish is black powdercoat. Fits all ZRX's.
