The side mounted style damper has a traditional look that goes well with the ZRX. Side mounted dampers are larger than most other types of dampers having greater oil capacity for better heat dissipation and have more shaft movement relative to the fork movement. And unlike dampers mounted in other locations this one can be adjusted while riding.

The kit consists of three parts. A Shindy Daytona damper (made in Japan), 43mm billet fork clamp and frame bracket made by Moto-Fab. The damper is a rebuildable aluminum bodied unit with 7 adjustment positions. The fork clamp is a two piece design so fork tube removal is not necessary to install. The frame bracket is welded steel with black powdercoat finish. It mounts to the frame union where the removable frame cradle mounts to the main frame using longer bolts and spacers that I supply.

Full lock to lock of steering is retained.

A small chunk of the right radiator shroud must be cut away to use this kit. If you are using MF radiator straps or rad fingers, no mods are required to install. Complete instructions are included.
